The Control Group is all about team spirit, and we love to organize fun team building events! This February, we decided to try something a little bit different with a Mystery Trip scavenger hunt.
Mystery Trip is a Los Angeles based event-planning service that has been described as a summer camp for adults! Featured in Time Out, Thrillist, and Forbes, Mystery Trip organizes weird and wonderful scavenger trips.
The TCG team separated into five teams and took a party bus to the Public Food Market in Liberty Station to begin their quest! The teams scrambled across the bustling area to track down everything from gummy eggs to a neon cow. But to complete the challenge, teams also had to photograph themselves doing several tasks in public. Tasks included giving a stranger a piggyback ride, singing happy birthday to a stranger, and doing yoga in a public place.
After embarking on a fun scavenger hunt, the teams were whisked to their next location — Barley Mash in the heart of the Gaslamp district in downtown San Diego. After a fun trivia contest, the results were tallied up and Team Non-Compliant was declared the reigning champion of the day!
